It doesn’t sound as though it is crashing your game. Currently, we do not have any plans on making changes to the TMGS2 patch but perhaps it is your game file? We’ve never had that problem during testing / playthroughs ourselves.
Phoenix Goddess, I’m sorry this question doesn’t belong here, but I don’t know where else to ask… It’s about the gokusaishiki forum. I tried registering an account a few days back, but there’s still no activation email… I tried resending the activation email two or three times, but nothing. I even tried changed the email address, but no email either. I was wondering if there’s anything I can do…?

actually i was wondering, do you guys know how to make the emulation run a bit faster? i use desmume and the emulation isn’t super slow but its slower than it should be
I tend to turn the sound off to make it run faster 😦
oh haha. i like hearing their voices T_T its not too slow when they talk but omg when you do the after date skinship it does get a bit annoying. maybe i should just turn the sound off D:

I just started a new game on Tokimeki 2 and instead of Yuu I got Wakaouji’s voice. Is this because I got his ending last or is this a glitch?

Lmao if it’s a glitch…I love it. I honestly always do the new game stuff on mute until I’m sure I don’t have to deal with Yuu (forgot to do it this time). Sure he’s cute and all but I already have a whiny little sister with a high pitched voice…don’t need it coming from her and my computer at the same time xD.

Not anymore no. We tried it during beta, but it made the words look very weird in-game 😦

I’m not sure which emulator is better (It’s about the same, if I’m not mistaken) but what you can try is using this free program http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html to boost your computer for it. I hope it works for you!
Thank you very much for all the hard work you did with this patch, I really enjoyed being able to play to TMGS2 thanks to you ! I find it hard to learn Hiragana and Katana, but I can’t imagine all the work it takes to translate a whole game that was in japanese… Well to sum it up, just two things :

Thanks for your work on translating these awesome games. Might I know what program you use to translate them? (as in, mess with the data) I’m interested in trying my hand at translating games too…
Depends on what you’re referring to really.
There’s at least six programs I use, if not eight.
However, you have to learn romhacking and/or Japanese(Or whatever language you want to translate from) to know what it all means.

Small update, the second patch should be out in two to three weeks, if that.
We”re testing ALL of the endings tonight and they are:
Five endings each guy(excluding secret guys)
Two Yuu endings
One Himeko ending
And about who knows how many heroine endings, depending on your stats or if you continue with your job/school.

You can’t download the second patch, yet. The beta testers can because they’re testing it for errors. After the testers are done testing everything thoroughly, then it’ll be released to the public.

I’d also like to help with beta-testing, if I could. I’m very big on grammar and spelling, and I unconsciously proofread anything I read anyway. May as well use it to help someone out.
Uh hey guys, it’s me again. It’s a little late I know, but um, if you ever need any extra hands for the beta-testing or anything, I’ll be here 🙂
I’ll contribute in any way I can. Like I’ve pretty much played through the game in Chinese a few times and I’ve got a few strategies (though they might not be that impressive) up my sleeve ^^
I’ve got a few tips and tricks not in the FAQs for getting guys like (mainly) Shiba to at least grinning state by the end of the first year if anyone’s interested. I hope I don’t sound like I’m boasting or anything.
So yeah…just telling you guys about how I can help. Ugh how come I sound so pathetic no matter how I put it?? Thanks and I hope you guys don’t find me too obnoxious or anything…

Don’t give up on him, I assure you, the steps I posted before for the best friend routes is what you’re supposed to do, it’s even what Inori did, so try going in order, it should work.

wat about Komori Taku?
Komori is one of the secret guys, but their events are hard to trigger sometimes. I’ll talk to Inori about splitting the secret guys between you and Mme.Aloria since the quicker the beta test, the quicker the release. Thankfully, we have a loooot of testers with amazing grammar, so I don’t think we’ll release the patch with that many issues.
For the testing, do we just tell you if we find any grammar or spelling mistakes while we play through?
Grammar, spelling, freezes, crashes, words getting cut off, overflowing words, anything that doesn’t sound or look right 🙂

So sorry I’m doing such a slow job with Amachi testing. I messed up with activating the best friend mode thing, because I’d never tried for it before. xD I need to go back to one of my older files and try again. Dx

Some testers haven’t shown up and the only way this patch will be released soon is if the testers show up or get replaced. I absolutely HATE replacing people, but it’s not fair for the fans to wait and I don’t think it’d be fair to the testers to feel like they’re slowing down the project. I hate feeling like that, so I’m sure there are some testers who feel the same way.
If you guys still need help, I’ve got an R4 running Wood and YSMenu and a lot of free time upcoming. It doesn’t matter who you need tested since I plan to complete all the routes eventually anyway so I can do a less popular character if you need it. Difficulty should also not be an issue. I’m also online fairly frequently so I should be readily available. It’s an open offer, so feel free to do whatever you’d like with it.
If not, though, then let me just say that you guys are great and I really appreciate all the work you’re putting into the project. ありがとう！

My problem is the opposite. I have a DS with R4 SDHC Upgrade Revolution (is that the name? x.x), but I have no idea exactly how the beta testing process works.
You look for errors as you play the game, typos, programming errors(Like words getting cut off), crashes and anything that doesn’t seem right.
I understand all that, but it’s more the specific things we have to do, like. Something about making sure we pick every option on every date and certain things like that? As long as I’m sure I know exactly what’s expected of me, I have no life at the moment. I have plenty of time to do this. xD
Aaah, yes, you have to choose each choice to check for errors and you have to stay on the route given to you (Which in this case would be Amachi’s best friend route) Which should be easy, cause most don’t ever want to be lovey dovey with him XD
Can someone volunteer to test Amachi? .psyched is a no show, so I’ll need someone else.

I need you to tell me what’s the best setting if we play TMGS 1st on nocashgba,
i was playing with desmume first (no sound of course…),
now that i switched it to nocashgba, it runs pretty smooth with 100%10fps averagely,
the BMG and SE volume is extremely great but the VOICE!
The Voice is so annoying… Please help me…

AH eh…I see. I must have misunderstood. Well, anywho you might not know this, but TMGS1 and 2 have both been fully translated into Chinese. (that’s what I’m playing to tide me over until the English translation for TMGS2 comes out) TMGS3 is almost done and they’re in their final stages of beta testing. Um, it seems our Chinese counterparts have managed to do translate the save/load stuff properly (or maybe the kanji for those is just the same as the Chinese characters)…so is it possible that the hacked file could give you a clue as to how it could be done? I suggest you use the [FTP] one, but if you have like MU or whatever, it’s up to you:) Which reminds me, they’re actually offering the whole file (as in, the game has been patched) up for download, and you can’t get the patch separately, so I’m not really sure if it’s useful to you or anything. Hm

I’m sure I can figure it out eventually, but it won’t be until the 2nd patch since the 1st patch is going into beta tomorrow.
We’ve decided the webdata won’t be completely translated for the 1st patch because it would just put beta testing off for another week or two, so we’re releasing the half of what’s done(Which already took a week cause it’s so long). We were going to just wait to release the patch until it was done, but we took all that time to get the beta testers ready, so we’re starting beta and the 2nd patch tomorrow. Is that all right?

Yeah… Somehow the Chinese translations are very fast, and their translated otome games database is also quite big. I am interested in seeing how they work, but heh, I know nuts about Chinese despite being one myself.

OMG. As much as I don’t want to fight with Phoenix, I have to admit, I’m a huge Shiba fan. And yes, I know…Shiba has the same voice as my most beloved Masamune-sama. And it’s none other than my fav seiyuu of all time: Nakai Kazuya. In fact most of the anime/games I watch/play are because Nakapon’s in them. Like Jiggy Pepper in Tegami Bachi, Hijikata Toshiro in Gintama etc and of course Will from WoW.
i also have a huge collection of the drama cds he does. Ehh. Hopeless fangirl here.

I couldn’t find the right palette for the save/load file, so it’ll have to wait until the 2nd patch. I did however, translate the text in it so you know what it’s saying and you can follow the TMGS1 screen, I’ll ask jjjewel if I can post a picture of it here so you all know what the graphics stand for.

That’s why I was a little concerned when Phoenix started freaking out over the palette thing. I actually don’t really mind if the colour doesn’t match or anything. You don’t need to get it exactly. Like, I’m fine if we have the words ‘New Game’ etc etc there. So you don’t really need to worry so much over the title screen XD I’m sure many other people would agree with me on this point.
You guys are probably perfectionists and want to do your best for the projects and of course I have no complaints to that. Just know that we know you’re human and you don’t need to push yourselves that hard and that we’ll always be rooting for you XD

Nah, we’re not worried about the title screens, those are translated already and it’s so cute, cause the screen changes by the day! Just like in TMGS3 😀
It’s just the save/load graphic that’s giving me trouble and the webdata’s giving Inori and I lots of trouble, it’s the only thing left to do for the 1st patch, but it’s proving to be extremely lengthy.
Just dropping a note – if you can extract the graphics and provide me with a screenshot of the original colors, I can edit it fine even being color-scrambled (maybe it could be a little more time consuming), I’m used to editing graphics pixel-by-pixel too @_@~

Text in the save data done! The graphic text itself isn’t, but if I can’t, I translated the text so you know what says what(outside of the graphic text) So “Overwrite save”, “File loaded”, “File saved” etc., is translated.
If you manage to extract and reinsert the image files successfully, I can edit them for the final patch.

Done with Amachi, Hikami, Saeki, Shiba, and Waka’s Sports Festival scripts. The only ones I have left are Hariya and Chris’s then after that, it’s the 20 B files and the rest of the P folder(excluding Waka and Chris’s, theirs is already done)
